As a result of fundraising restrictions caused by COVID-19, Dash for the Beads proceeds for 2021 will go to iBike Rosemont, a neighborhood event on the Rosemont campus, and the remainder will be provided to the City of Dallas Parks Department to renovate the basketball court at Kidd Springs park in Oak Cliff. For the 2022 Dash for the Beads, we anticipate a return to our traditional grant program for awarding all Dash proceeds.

The 2020 Dash for the Beads was another resounding success, thanks again to all those who participated!  As a result of the hard work of all our volunteers and the generosity of our sponsors and runners we were able to give back just over $35,000 to local organizations.  None of this would be possible without our wonderful sponsors, volunteers, and neighbors that make the Dash possible.

For those that are curious, The Dash for the Beads has no paid staff.  Our volunteer committee aims to give all the net proceeds from the event to our neighborhood kids.

Organizations helped by the 2020 Dash for the Beads include:

Bishop Dunne
Sunset Film
Tyler Street Academy
Hogg New Tech Elementary
Kessler School
Bishop Arts Theatre

Peabody Elementary
Rosemont Dads Club
Adamson Cheerleaders
Stevens Park Elementary
